A little bit about us.
With almost two decades experience working in London in senior management and at director level, Garrett, our founder and a resident of Brighton for over 15 years, was becoming increasingly frustrated at seeing Brighton’s image decline with the proliferation of unwanted graffiti/tags everywhere.
Whilst he appreciated much of the incredible graffiti artwork that was out there and mostly confined to dedicated spaces, he also recognised that mindless graffiti and tagging was becoming a blight on our towns and cities. Its anti-social & unsightly, detracts from an area’s desirability, devalues properties and in Brighton for example, it is not a great welcome to the ten million visitors to the city annually.
He quit his London job in 2020 during the lockdown and spent a year researching the best set up for graffiti removal. He launched DETAG in 2021 to help local councils, schools, universities, housing associations, churches, commercial businesses, homeowners, and so forth with tackling graffiti and tagging problems on their own doorstep.
His focus and the company’s mission from day one has been to raise the bar and offer an industry leading, environmentally friendlier, state-of-the-art graffiti removal system whilst at the same time delivering the fastest, safest and most effective restorative cleaning service on the market.
When he isn’t removing unwanted graffiti and tags, you can usually find Garrett out hiking around the beautiful counties of East & West Sussex.
